From the foot of Kilimanjaro to the white sands of the Indian Ocean. This 10-day expedition is the definition of “Safari.” It traces the classic route of the early explorers, starting in the cool highlands of Nairobi, descending into the shadow of Africa’s highest peak in Amboseli, and traversing the legendary “Man-Eaters” territory of Tsavo. The journey concludes with three days of pure bliss on the Kenyan Coast, washing off the safari dust in the warm, azure waters of the Indian Ocean. This is not just a vacation; it is a complete immersion into Kenya’s diverse ecosystems: majestic mountains, vast savannahs, and tropical paradise.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Can we fly back to Nairobi instead of driving? A: Yes! On Day 10, most clients fly directly from Mombasa (MBA) to Nairobi (NBO) to catch their international connection. We can arrange this domestic flight for you. Alternatively, the Madaraka Express (SGR Train) is a scenic and affordable way to return to the capital.
Q: Is it safe to swim in the ocean? A: Yes, the beaches at Diani and North Mombasa are protected by coral reefs, making the water calm and warm. However, always follow the advice of the resort lifeguards regarding tides.
Q: Why do we visit both Tsavo West and East? A: They are completely different ecosystems. Tsavo West is hilly, volcanic, and green with springs (Mzima). Tsavo East is flat, dry, and offers vast open plains for easier predator spotting. Seeing both gives you the full picture of the Tsavo conservation area.
Q: What should I pack for the beach portion? A: Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, high-SPF sunscreen, and sunglasses. Most beach resorts have a “smart casual” dress code for dinner (no swimwear in the dining hall).
